Though Nicole has been singing since a young child, she really started singing consistently when she became a freshman in college.  In addition to being a skilled vocalist, she plays clarinet, piano, and is currently learning guitar.

Her earliest musical influences were pop, R&B, and jazz music.  Now she prefers to listen to artists that draws her closer into a relationship with Jesus Christ (i.e. Israel & New Breed, Jonathan McReynolds, CeCe Winans, David & Nicole Binion, Big Daddy Weave, independent Christian artists Molley Moody, Leah Smith, Chantae Cann and Jeremy Passion).

Nicole grew up in the church and accepted Christ in the 8th grade.  Music is an integral part of her life and one of the main ways she worships Him and serves Him.  She has grown closer to Him and to other believers through gift of music.  God has used it to deliver her from many fears and grow in my faith.

“Before I was really dedicated to Christ, music was my idol and main form of expressing my feelings.  Since Christ is now king, music is a way to worship Him and to help others to know and worship Him!  I made the choice to eliminate music that was a hindrance to my walk with Christ, says Nicole.

Since joining Soul Choir, she has gained invaluable experience in vocal performance, live and studio BGV’s, music videos, etc.  "Being in Soul Choir has changed my life completely, she says.  I’ve been able to refine my skills as a singer.  I’ve learned how to have a heart for ministering to people through music and better communicate the gospel.  It’s truly been a blessing!”

Nicole attends True Divine Church in Murfreesboro, TN, where she is the co-worship leader with her mother. She has worked for BMI, GMA, Word Entertainment, and currently works for Warner Music Group.
